About Ronnie Moore
Ronald David “Ronnie” Moore is a former English footballer who is the currently the manager of Hartlepool United. He has taken charge of several clubs including Rotherham United and Tranmere Rovers.
As a player Ronnie Moore’s career spanned almost two decades with him plying his trade at Tranmere Rovers, Cardiff City, Charlton Athletic and of course Rotherham United. A local hero to the Rotherham faithful he is regarded to be one of the greatest players to have put on the Rotherham jersey. His managerial career started at Southport in 1997, he later went onto manage Rotherham United, guiding them to two successive promotions from Division Three to Division One. He has also managed Oldham Athletic with his appointment in 2005, before managing another club he had played for in Tranmere Rovers a year later. In 2009 he returned to manage Rotherham United for a second spell before returning to Tranmere Rovers for the second time in 2012. In December 2014 he was announced as the new manager of Hartlepool United. As a player he started out as centre-half and made a successful switch to centre forward showing his adaptability as well as his knowledge of awareness in different positions. He has played against the legendary Brazilian Pele whom is arguably regarded by many as the best player ever. Ronnie Moore has demonstrated his acute awareness of football as is visible from his playing days as well as his managerial career.
